Busch will drop like a rock in points, I think he will finish the season 15th or worse.

My sources tell me that the drivers are mostly against Busches mouth, and will show Spencer how to handle it the right way.

Appearantly many drivers are contemplating donations of $25,000 to charity in the name of Spencer.

rumors have it that it will be to battered wives.

Hey, let's stop with the libellious matter. This is a slander-free zone after all, oh dangit, I just contradicted myself.

Kurt is the very first driver I have ever heard people claim was unpopular in the garage.

The first driver I have ever heard someone claim to have a big mouth and was someone claim was gonna be shown the light.

The first driver I ever tell off who's rough or reckless driving was gonna be his downfall.

LMAO..........Do Winston Cup champions Darrell Waltrip, Rusty Wallace, Cale Yarborough, Dale Earnhardt, names ring a bell with anyone? Not to mention a few who might have been like Tim Richmond.

Call me what you will people!

None of you have probably ever been any closer to the Nascar garage other then maybe an escorted tour.

You don't know who I am, and I'm not anyone who has been on any other racing message board before, nor am I anyone else assuming another handle.

I will tell you that I have been right in the mix of Nascar in the past, like working and pitting for a Winston Cup car. At age 16 I was a pit crew man. My job was the windshield, and glueing the lug nuts on the wheels, not much but most likely a lot more then you ever saw. At 16 I drove a 55 chevy pick up full of tool boxes from California to Charlott N.C. Also to Atlanta, and Talladega. I slept in a camper in the Bristol infield and saw how the hillbillies party all night and then watch the race.

And that was at age 16! Don't worry I won't bore you with the rest of my Nascar experiences.

What can you guys tell me about yours? How many times you payed a lot of money to sit in the grandstands?

If you think I'm a troll, then call me a troll.

Your not hurting my feelings at all.

I'm a bit down on this cry baby Busch, and that is what message boards are supposed to be, a way for us to express it. You guys can't handle it though because your too much like Busch. The only reason Busch is driving is because his daddy has a lot of money.

He doesn't belong in Winston Cup, he belongs in the SCCA.

I will always trash his name as long as he behaves like a little woman. He needs to show this country some respect, and earn his own respect.

I bow to your greatness!!

It is one thing to express your opinion, but another to include it in every single post you make.

I agree with hardscrabble, not all drivers are liked at all times, but the good ones stick around and learn from there experiences.

I think it'd be in everyones best interest if we all just stop the feudin and the fussin.

At 16 I tune the first piano for Jerry Lee, Drove the tour bus for the Stones, And wrote songs for Three Dog Night. Oh it's hard to be humble. :D

I only have 3 1/2 months left to do something big while I'm 16

If the small garrison surrenders to Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, there will be hell to pay !!

I own a race team that is in contention for the Winston Cup this year.

Hey guys, I have a bridge over the Yangze I'd like to sell you !

What years and which team(s) did you work with Silver Ram ??? Are you still associated with a NASCAR Winston Cup team??

Whizzer,

My daddy had a 76 Malibu number 94. Brown and yellow.

We went to Charlotte, Atlanta, Talladega, and two tracks here in California, old Riverside raceway, and old Ontario raceway.

In Charlotte we arived on friday afternoon and garaged across from A.J. Foyts garage, that is where I learned who and what they are all about.

The race car had the wrong tortion bar in it and my dad couldn't get the car over 100 mph. This was before they rebuilt the track. We went home after the race. Cale Yarborough was the coolest to me that week end. As I walked by his garage he asked me some questions about my dad. He was a real class dude.

We then went to Atlanta, and were running in the top ten in speed at practice, and the rain came and no qualifying happened, and we didn't get in the race due to the points,....we had none.

Talladega we blew our only motor in practice, went home after the race, broke.

Riverside, we were running good and a tie rod broke in our qualifying attempt, through the esses.

Then At Ontario, we were practicing well enough to qualify in the top 5, and on the first qualifying lap, as he went into to turn 3, turning almost 9 G's the timing chain broke and the motor went off like a bomb, sending him sidways and into the infield.

And that was it! We were out of money and just couldn't get sponsored well enough to go back.

Niel Bonnet came to our shop in Garden Grove the next year and tried to help promote my dads racing, but to no avail. Niel was an awsome person.

My Dad went on to work for Jimmy Means, and D.K Ulrich when Tim Richmond drove for him. I was here in Cali to finish school. My Dad was telling corprate America that Nascar is where you want to advertise, oh if some of them would have listened!

Whizzer,

When did he work for Means ?? Was he full time ??

I don't think he was full time with Means, I would have to ask him the details about it. I do remember my Dad and I helping load up Jimmy Means rig after a race one afternoon, but I don't remember where, and that was the start of my Dad helping him.

I think it was Ontario Motor speedway.

I also remember a race at Riverside where Jimmy Means lost his breaks in the esses and flew across turn six hitting the wall on the drivers side, the car was about 3 feet off the ground when it struck the wall. We were atop a motorhome just on the inside of turn six. My Dad being very concerned actually climbed the fence and ran across the track to see if He was ok. Jimmy walked away unhurt. Somehow my Dad made it back to the motorhome about an hour later.

Dad also worked for Dale Earnhardt for about a week, but didn't get along with someone, and that is when he hooked up with D.K.

I would watch the races on TV, and that is when Tim Richmond was wrecking about every weekend. My Dad would tell me that they spent most of the time repairing the damages. Tims parents had to shell out the money to fix the cars he wrecked. I seem to remember a few veteran drivers getting real tired of Tims wrecks.

My Dad liked both Means and Richmond a lot. He said Tim Richmond loved to party and loved a lot of women. It is debated whether Tim Got AIDS from a woman or drug use. According to Dad, it could have been either. He did quite a bit of both.

Hate to kinda trash Tims reputation, but this is just what I heard. No matter what Richmonds weeknesses were, he was a very personable individual and very cool. He earned his respect among the drivers, and was well liked in Nascar.

Hey SR, maybe you can answer a question for me.

I always meant to ask, but whenever I was talking with someone who might know never remembered to.

Where did the nickname "Smut" come from? Heard it ever since I knew he was racing......even the TV folks used to call him............Jimmy "Smut" Means.

You know what? I never did get that either. Seems like I did hear at one time where that came from, but really can't remember. Actually I had totaly forgotten about that till you asked.

I'll ask my Pop about it and get back to ya.

I really am interested in this as well. Go for it Silver Ram. While you're asking your Dad about the nickname "Smut", don't forget to ask when he worked for Jimmy and what he did with the team. Just following up since you did offer to get the details. Okay ??????? :D

I'll call him tonite, he wrks for Derick Daley by the way out at the Vagas track, it's hot and he is out in it all day, and sometimes I can't get hold of him in the evening.

Anyway you want to know what Derick Daley's driving instructors call Nascar racing?
