Honestly - and I've seen this done - youngsters (late teens) who got their hands on an old fiberglass hull boat with minor holes and rot (but basicaly worthless for fixing for real) - used Duct tape to make it float and the repair lasted all summer. They got it for free and used it as a swim platform and just anchored it.

Some of the kids at the local high school have started a business (as part of their curriculum) by making useful, everyday items from duct tape and selling them at fairs, farmer's markets etc. They actually do rather well with it and manage to pad their school accounts rather nicely

My one daughter makes some amazing things out of duct tape. She made my wife a frog that's over a foot long and pretty impressive.
Lol, this is actually in my home town of Avon, Ohio. Im in avon now, just got home a few min ago. Have never went to the duck tape festival and never wjll. Had a much better weekend going to the ARCA race at MIS on Friday and saw a hell of an entertaining show last night with the NASCAR Canadian Tire series at Delaware Speedway last night
I think she was in grand theft auto: vice city.....
I'm hoping she was smart enough to double-layer those bottoms, sticky sides together.....
That's gonna hurt coming off...
