Hawkins County Sherriff’s Deputies arrested Harry Richmond Friday night on driving under the influence and animal cruelty charges.
Witnesses called 911 dispatchers to report, Richmond was dragging a mule behind his truck.
A deputy later found the driver and the wrecked truck in a field.
Officials say the mule was walking around a field with multiple wounds after being dragged along the asphalt.
Hawkins county deputies say this is Richmond’s fourth DUI offense.
