I agree!!

You could also add Ward and his booties to the list.:satisfied

i'm going with Harvick.. punish him for what he did but in the series he did it. not in the other one he races

I'd say all three were legit...Harvick got what he deserved, and by the way, it worked because he's kept his nose clean since. Yellow flag finishes have always been the norm in NASCAR until the last 2 years, but I do think there should be a solid rule one way or the other. Finally, anyone that fights in the pits should be fined. I do think his fine was too much.

What Kevin did happened in the Truck race at Martinsville.

Well I didn't vote on the pole, but there were quite a few more that could have been added.

Making changes depending on who whined the most comes to mind, and fines AFTER the post race inspection (when they were dumb enough not to see it in pre-race inspection) or fines imposed for pre qualifing errors.

No fines for cursing on live TV?

Oh NO, i'm just warming up so I'll stop now.

I voted for the first one. If some jerk punched me I would knock him up side the head with whatever I could get my hands on, anybody would. Way to go Ricky!!!

I voted for the first one. I still can't believe he got fined for defending himself.

I don't understand the rational by people defending Harvick? Someone care to explain?

I don't really like yellow finishes, but consistency would be nice. Isn't that what we all usually scream for?

The dumbest thing NASCAR did last season: Not black flaging Stewart when he jumped the last restart by 100+ yards at the Glen. Hell he couldn't even see the flag stand from where he restatred.

Well, if you get punished in one series, it shouldn't effect running in other series. Harvick got penalized in the truck series but was forced to sit out of a Winston Cup race. Kinda screwed up.

But wouldn't that still be deterimental to the sport? Much like Tony's off track problems?? Either way they represent NASCAR. I'm not a big fines person. Still think NASCAR promotes these actions and then follow up with the punishment.

What you do in the truck series should have no effect in the Winston Cup series. Two seperate series.

I understand they are seperate. But he's a NASCAR driver just like Tony Stewart. So to me they seem to be much the same. Neither one was fined for actions racing in the NASCAR series. So there both off track incidents.

What happened to Tony involved just one series. What happen to Kevin involved two. The one series that was the most important, he had to sit out because of a penality in a lower division. In also realize that if you go to the truck series its still NASCAR inforced, but they could have made a better decision that didn't affect as many people as it did.

I understand its different divisions. I don't know if I'm making my point clearly or if we just disagree.

I think if you are a representative of a sport, it doesn't matter which series it happens in. I mean Harvick is a NASCAR driver and punching a guy looks bad for NASCAR, atleast in their eyes. Kinda like Tony made Home Depot look bad.

At any rate thanks for answering me. I didn't know why people thought it was dumb. I may not agree, but atleast I understand now :)

First off, Harvick didn't punch anybody. I like how grabbing somebodies firesuit somehow turns into fist flying action. I guess we just disagree about this. But hey, thats fine.:)

I think letting that damned "interpretive dance troupe" perform at the banquet was the dumbest thing. And James Woods pretty much sucked too. Come on guys, at least let Kid Rock rock the house next year. Bring some life to the culmination of a very lively season to a very lively sport.
I would kind of like to see what Jimmy Spencer would look like in those tights, though. (ewwwww imgaine that)

AHHHHH!! Why did you have to say that?:p

Now I wish I wouldn't have come back to this thread :( I mean here come the nighmares after that Jimmy comment. Unfortunately I got a visual :( ;) :p

James Woods was disapointing. I usually like him, but he just seemed out of place to me.

Being as objective as I possibly can, I have to say that the dumbest thing was something that NASCAR didn't know about.

Junior being allowed to drive with after-effects of a concussion ranks up there with me. And I say that NOT because I despise Junior (which I do). Allowing ANYONE out there in that condition is bone headed. Period. NASCAR needs a better monitor of these type injuries.

Well, Nascar relied on drivers to be honest with them, and Dale Jr. proved that isn't always going to be the case.
