Dutton's Dozen: All eyes at Darlington will be on ...

Each week, Monte Dutton will provide a unique list from the world of NASCAR. This week's list: All eyes at Darlington will be on:

1. Ward Burton, to make sure he doesn't have "something to shoot" Dale Earnhardt Jr. with and to see if he can win two straight Southern 500s.

2. Jimmie Johnson, to see if he's still steamed at Robby Gordon.

3. Rusty Wallace, to see if he's aiming to get even with Jeff Gordon and because he's never won at Darlington.

4. Jeff Gordon, to see if he can win the Southern 500 when there isn't $1 million on the line.

5. Bill Elliott, because he's always been masterful at Darlington.

6. Dale Earnhardt Jr., because his daddy was so great there.

7. Tony Stewart, to see if he can return to the scene of a serious crash and win there, and to see if he can conquer himself and the track too tough to tame.

8. Mark Martin, because this isn't a Busch race (if it was, we know he'd win).

9. Jeff Burton, because this is another prime chance for him to win for the first time this year.

10. Dale Jarrett, because he lived in nearby Camden when his daddy won the Southern 500 in 1965.

11. Ricky Rudd and Terry Labonte, because both of them should've won a lot more times at Darlington.

12. Steve Park, because this is where he got hurt.
