Part of ESPN's excellent 30 for 30 series. Originally aired 10/19/2010.

It's far and away the best and most comprehensive look at Tim Richmonds life and racing career. It's emotional, to say the least.

I caught this sometime over the last year. It's a great documentary. I wish Speed would do more documentaries on past drivers instead of showing the stupid crap they show.

I agree. NASCAR is sitting on what is likely some fantastic old footage that child be used to create some awesome documentaries. I want to see footage from the 50's that's longer than just a few seconds. Why not an hour long special on Red Byron? He was a fighter pilot who sustained east injuries, raced at Indy and other stuff. Maybe there just isn't enough interest to justify the cost of theDr types of projects?

Maybe I'll learn how to put together a documentary and pitch some ideas to NASCAR. Do it from a fan's perspective. Crazier things have happened, right?

I'm not sure. Hell, I'd be happy if they just showed some races from the 60s through early 90s. Every time I catch a replay of an "old" race on speed it's always from like 2003 to 2010. I never understood it.

Saw that and recorded it on my DVR when it first came out. But since, I traded in my old DVR for an HD one and lost all of those "30 for 30" episodes. Now I don't have ESPN Classic. I hate that.
