I work with a young lady who just so happens to be a vegetarian. She and her husband have a small son, I'm guessing about 2 years old. They are not raising him vegetarian. they say it should be his choice, not theirs. She has no qualm to eating a meal with the rest of us, even jokes about it sometimes. She is a very pleasant person in all regards, and the fact that she doesn't eat meat rarely if ever crosses my mind.
Why can't all people who believe strongly in a cause be more like this? Rather than draw attention to herself for her beliefs, she lives her life. When asked, or at times when it becomes an issue, she points out what is on her mind, then goes on living her life without trying to convert the masses to her way of thinking. I could take a lesson from her myself.
As to the East Tennessee Vegetarians, never heard of them. Something up?
