What about the tyre rule. Teams are only allowed to run so many sets a weekend, and with softer tyres, more stops, we would go through them faster. I say forget softer tyres. What they need is for Goodyear to get their heads outta their butts and make more consistant tyres so people that qualify on pole or dominate a race, actually win it, rather than get a set of "bad" tyres and fall way back. I heard Tony Stewart talking about how his team runs every set of tyres they have to understand their characteristics, so when the race rolls around, they know what adjustments need to be made to make up for each set they put on. Thats pretty bad when you have to set up your car around a set of tyres.
