I hope Eddie Sharp enjoys his championship, because he didn't deserve it. Asking Clay Rogers to stay behind Lofton? That ain't racing.

I did not see the race, but nobody forced Clay Rogers to do anything. He chose to do what he wanted. I doubt his car would've been good enough to beat Lofton anyway.

I hope Eddie Sharp rewards Clay Rogers nicely for that, maybe with a ride next season (doubtful though).

I can't remember the specifics (but I do have it DVR'd), but the Speed announcers had said something about Eddie talking to Rogers' crew to not try to pass, and I believe even mentioned it being radioed to Rogers.

By the way, great race! I finally finished watching it last night. How about that 71 Green laps with all 41 cars running before the first caution? On that track? Truely amazing. The crowd looked absolutely pathetic. I suppose most of the luxury boxes could have been full, but still pathetic.

I want to clarify what I said in this post.

Justin Lofton deserved the championship for racing hard all season.

I don't approve of what Eddie Sharp did, and I would've posted a big "eff you" over the radio if I was Clay and passed Lofton anyways. Racing is racing, this isn't F1.
