Eldora - Race Day

Good morning to those that survived another great night at Eldora.

Let's go racing!
Good morning, he says with only one eye open not being used to staying up to one in the morning.

To the ones of you that have never camped at a race, you should try it if you can. Meeting new friends like the DPs and finding them to be good company is a large part of our racing experience and of course good food good beer and good racing is a great perk also.

Survival will be the name of the game tonight. Any one of 25 drivers could win this thing.

I agree. Even though it's dirt, I'm just looking forward to seeing some good hard racing. No give and all take, the way it's supposed to be:cool:

I just hope it's not a disaster. This race could be great for the Truck series and dirt track racing. I'm not sure if what's trending on twitter really means that much but it's been the #2 topic the past day or so. A lot of people will be watching this race.

Yeah I think there will be quite a few spinning out and coming back thru the pack, and plenty getting smashed up against the wall by a lower grove truck. Top five probably will run pretty clean, the pack behind will probably be closer to demo derby. This is going to be good.

i see qualifying is 2 hrs on speed. ?? lotsa filler/commercials i guess.
hope they left mikey in nc.

Dang, they started whining and they haven't even raced yet. I don't care if they show the goofy rear steer late models(Matt Crafton said that, goofy rear steer late models. I just became a fan of his), or if Mikey is doing back flips in the booth, how slow they are or the track isn't just so, whine infinitum. I am going to see the NASCAR trucks on dirt. weeeeeHaw...bring it on!!

I think it's qualifying and heats. But I'm with on leaving Mikey in NC.

yeah.......race is only 1 1/2 hr. speed needs new tv guide person. heat races not mentioned.

wonder how big tv audience was for practice last nite ?

My TV guide for DirecTV shows racing starting at 6PM, at 8PM The Setup, then the race starting at 8:30PM. Central Time
I would assume the show at 6PM is the heat races.

they are callin heat races.....qualifyin races.....which they are technically i guess......just not down south. ha!

qualifyin already over----schraeder is p1. this determines heat race start positions i assume ?

You'd think somebody at SPEED would figure we all watched yesterday's practice so we don't need the set up. We need late model racing at 8:30:p

Well passing appears impossible.

How is the lineup determined? I thought it was through the qual races but since they have qualifying maybe not...

pretty good drivin by bubba.....w/ NO dirt exp.......til spin.
