At the 8:30 pm cut-off to day one tech inspection, 137 late models were awarded the official World 100 tech sticker. Tech will resume Friday morning at 9:00 am.

September 7: 3:00 pm - 202 cars are on the grounds as we enter the last hour of technical inspection.

6:03 pm) Rain began falling as the second set of hot lap cars were on the track (6:03 pm). We're in a holding pattern and have the push trucks lined and ready to hit the track just as soon as Mother Nature finishes her visit.

(6:36 pm) An unbelievable roar just rattled the grandstands. Within a matter of seconds the rain stopped and the sun was beaming over the race track, and the fans let it be known that they approved! Push trucks are firing up...

SATURDAY UPDATE - 5:45 pm - Here we go again... Mother Nature has stepped in and put a temporary halt to World 100 racing , nearly the same time as she did yesterday. We will be under a holding pattern while we wait out this weather. By no means have plans been scrapped, so stay tuned as we hope to get underway again later this evening.

6:20 pm - Mother Nature has extended her stay and is still putting down the rain at a pretty quick clip. Race fans have huddled under the grandstands and anywhere else they can find cover to wait out this storm. We're still under a holding pattern and will update this page when anything changes.

7:25 pm - Still raining (although not as hard). We're still in a holding pattern... We'll keep you updated...
