Tonight while on Trackside, Elliot attempted a "stage dive" and suffered a head injury. I don't know any other info on it right now, but say a prayer for him....

 He is in my prayers. 1st iv heard about this.

When are these people gonna learn that ...............a bunch of young nascar fans/groupies are not equal to a slam pit at a Minor Threat concert ?? One of Newmans crew members tried the same thing at the all star intros & went knees first into the crowd. No surprise they parted like the red sea.

Yeh pretty soon the owners will write it into their contracts that drivers can't do this type of stuff. Hammond is brain dead sometimes too!

elliot already has the no contact- i'm hunting clause, maybe he needs a no jumping anytime anywhere clause?

Gotta love the stupid hosts' (I don't care who he is) willingness to move on with the show while Sadler was down, knowing that Sadler had hit is head. Now that's class!! "We'll just move on with the show while he gets looked at". Priceless!

UPDATE: John Roberts mentioned as Speed Channel's Tradin' Paint show that Sadler is fine after his mishap and will race on Sunday.
MORE-PR: Elliott Sadler, driver of the #38 Ford in the Nextel Cup Series, sustained only minor injuries on Friday evening after a fall from a stage in Uptown Charlotte during the taping of the television program “Trackside Live” broadcast on The Speed Channel. After rain showers earlier in the evening, Sadler slipped from the outdoor stage due to the wet surface bruising his left thigh. He sustained no other injuries as previously reported. Sadler was seen by an onsite medical team and left under his own power. He will compete in the scheduled NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series events this weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.(Elevation Group PR)(5-26/27-2006)

Conflicting stories here, originally was reported he dove into the fans like Hammond did, which is correct?

Yeh and Yates cars are tripping on the track, at this point i have to think that the Yates cars are just test vehicles for Jack. They are running so poorly, althogh DJ clearly got hurt by not having his usual spotter.

I saw this live and then watched the repeat the next day.

Hammond jumped into the crowd and then everyone erged Elliott to do the same. Elliotts shoes slipped on the edge of the stage and he landed on a temp. barrier with his hip. You could actually hear him hit it.

When they talked about it on Speed they made it sound like Hammond saved him from smashing face first into the ground. Didn't look that way to me.

It looked more like the parting of the Red Sea when Elliot jumped. People couldn't get out of the way fast enough. At first I though maybe it was Kurt Busch doing the jumping with how the people didn't attempt to catch him.

there is a clip of it on www.acetj.com

it looks pretty bad....Sadler called into the Ace & TJ show this morning to talk about it.

Hammond's jump was "staged". He had some of his burly friends there to catch him. Elliott didn't know that at the time, so naturally "macho" takes over. LOL He just HAD to do it too. Yes.....his foot slipped on the wet stage and yes....that crowd parted like the red sea. "I" didn't see Hammond anywhere near to be able to bread Elliott's fall. (Might be me ole eyes?)
Thank goodness, Elliott suffered mostly a bruised ego. LOL

Well, the crowd cheered for Sadler to do it.. and they let him down...Lesson learned, never listen to a bunch of Drunk NASCAR FANS!!!
