Elliott Sadler will drive full-time in NASCAR's Nationwide Series in 2011 for Kevin Harvick Inc.

From ThatsRacin

Elliott Sadler will drive full-time in NASCAR's Nationwide Series in 2011 for Kevin Harvick Inc., the Observer and ThatsRacin.com have learned.

Sadler, who currently drives for Richard Petty Motorsports in the Cup series, was completing a deal Thursday night which will allow him to compete for the Nationwide championship next season in a Chevrolet fielded by KHI, sources said.

KHI has scheduled a news conference for Friday afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway to announce a "2011 program."

KHI was already planning to field its No. 33 Chevy Nationwide team again in 2011, with team co-owner Kevin Harvick driving a large number of the races, as well as Richard Childress Racing drivers Clint Bowyer, Paul Menard and Austin Dillon.

Sadler, 35, won a Truck series race driving for KHI earlier this season at Pocono Raceway.

In 130 career Nationwide starts, Sadler has five wins, 19 top-five and 38 top-10 finishes and six poles. He has run full time in the series since 1998.

I was wondering if Sadler would do this, good move on his part, and should be good for KHI. I see Harvick going Cup racing in another 2 years, maybe late 2012, and possibly fielding 2 cars in 2013. Just a hunch of course on my part!

I wonder how/if he will be affected by the proposed Nationwide and Cup regular drivers changes?

Even Elliott must have realized the only cup ride he get would be a start and park.

Good move by Sadler. The #33 is usualy always in contention for a win or atleast a top 5. Where as Sadlers would be lucky if he finished a race in the top 20 in the cup series.

So if Elliot is in the #33 full time what car will Kevin and company drive? The #21 since they merged with RCR or will Kevin have another car?

Good move on both here plus since we all know the 33 is always up front whenever Kevin drives it, we can see how good Sadlers driving skill really is. Anything less than a top 3 finish in the points next season in unacceptable.

Elliot has been running up front in the nationwide series this year when he has been in good equipment. I hope he can find his groove over there and give us a show.
