This doesn't so much affect us, as it does our neighbors across the street.
Went to a TxDOT public meeting tonight. The FM we live on is being changed from 1 lane each way w/ shoulder and center turn lane (~5 lanes wide) to 2 lanes, a shoulder, and sidewalk each way with a grassy median between directions. They are leaving our Right Of Way alone, but taking about 100 feet from the people across the street.
Some of our neighbors that we can't even see, will now have the FM in their front yard. Several houses and outbuildings will be bought and removed.
What a mess.
The 2021 traffic estimation is 16,500 cars per day. They said right now it's hovering around 12,000 per day.
