So this will be our first look at Erin Crocker in a stock car. That should be kind of cool. I wonder if she'll do well, I hope so, it always makes me feel good to see new drivers do well. All I've really heard are two things...
1.) She's a she
and
2.) She might be the "real deal"

Has anyone seen her race before? Or know anything about her? Is she an aggresive driver? I'm just wondering, since I'll be there, seeing that it doesn't get rained out.

I've only read about Erin Crocker. In the Feb. 24 issue of Nascar Scene was this little blurb.

NOT SO SWEET AND INNOCENT

Team owner Ray Evernham was in for a surprise earlier this month as he watched his developmental driver, Erin Crocker, run on a dirt track in a World of Outlaws event.
"I had really only seen Erin drive a Sprint car on tape; she is 100 pounds, red hair and freckles," Evernham said. "She started on the pole in the third heat, and it was like watching the movie, 'The Mask'."
"This sweet little girl puts on a helmet, they drop the green flag, she knocks some guy right out of the way at 120 miles an hour and runs 6 inches off the guard rail sideways."
Evernham's reaction?
"Oh my God, if she drives like this in a Busch car, we're going to be up in the NASCAR trailer a lot," he said.

I would dare say that if Ray Evernham is impressed, then I'm sure we will be too!

That's a funny blurb. LOL And I really don't think Ray would mind going to the trailer a few times under those conditions.

I've not seen her run yet, but certainly look forward to the ARCA race this week.

Iv seen her run twice, i like Erin but Ray had to be smoking something that day.
Why do you say that, lappy? It seems that Ray was just excited to see the little lady drive a car! And, quite impressed with her abilities!

Edit: Oh, and I feel that he is a pretty good judge of someone's ability. He hired Kasey Kahne, didn't he? And, BTW, she drives Kasey's dirt car. ;)

good point Maj, but he did say Casey Atwood would be the next Jeff Gordon or something like that. (or did Casey say he was the next Jeff....)

i think the powers that be should try to suspend this person from racing-forums for illegal use of the keyboard, maybe a 25,000$ fine also

I have seen her race a few times with the WoO. She is good and fast. I think that he has the attitude of "nothing to lose". Good luck to her.
