Good choice. I would like to see if the baiters will let us have a decent discussion in the open forum for a change.I will leave my comments on this in the Podium
I can't think of a anything new that's been said about this recently. Same ol, same ol, over and over again. Peoples opinions are now set in stone. Time to move on to the next big thing.
Reporters do have every right to ask. They also have the right to ask for Grandma's cookie recipe or what color the patio furniture is. That doesn't make them useful or appropriate. Flag / anthem questions displays the reporter's ignorance of the critical role of keeping the sponsor happy.I've seen drivers/former drivers as well France himself endorse political candidates and therefore feel they have injected themselves into the discussion. Reporters have every right to ask the question, while drivers retain every right to decline an answer.
as in master?Good choice. I would like to see if the baiters will let us have a decent discussion in the open forum for a change.
The president mistook a statement by NASCAR owners for a statement from the sanctioning body itself. I've heard many reporters make the same mistake in the last week. When the leader of the country names Nascar in a Tweet about current events taking place in major sports, I think it's likely to open up some new dialogue - for better or worse.

As I recall, Camping World raised hell. Wasn't its banquet pulled from a Trump hotel? How do you suppose the sponsor feels about drivers/France openly endorsing political candidates? People can't hike their skirts up and then complain that others looked.

So far, this thread has avoided bringing in the politics, although some posts have come quite close.
If it gets political, off it goes to The Podium.
Wildthing, you know that there are threads in The Podium about this subject and why they are there.

Lol, ESPN doesn't even care about NASCAR. When is the last time they had reporters at a race?
ESPN I think does not care about sports anymore , I am just guessing as my TV has not been on a ESPN channel since Homestead 2014, but from what I hear they spend more time covering stuff they shouldnt and less time on stuff they should.Lol, ESPN doesn't even care about NASCAR. They were my go-to place for watching sports. Now, it seems it's nothing but round table discussions on whatever subjectESPN was good at one point.
ESPN was good at one point. Then they got involved in politics and social justice. It's a joke.
Oh, geez, Andy. I had a mouthful of tea and just spit it out laughing. Soaked my shirt.ESPN was asking questions about the national anthem ... while the national anthem was playing.
I tried to install ESPN3 on my home computer so I could watch cricket and could not, due to a blank page coming up where there should have been an install page, and there were no instructions. As far as I am concerned, if they are leaking oil, their engine should blow up.They are also leaking a lot of oil and desperate for clicks and ratings.

Oh I love to rant about Disney. They have always anthopomorphised their animals with human characteristics, turning viewers into anti-hunting.ESPN is a tool Disney uses to spread their propaganda. I tuned that garbage out long ago.
And I'm sure they're the only network that's used to advance the owners' positions.ESPN is a tool Disney uses to spread their propaganda. I tuned that garbage out long ago.
Just about every week. Bob Pockrass reports for ESPN.Lol, ESPN doesn't even care about NASCAR. When is the last time they had reporters at a race?
