Busch Series reported moving to ESPN2: ESPN2 expects to land exclusive rights to all Busch Series races, Street & Smith's SportsBusiness Daily reports. Speaking on conditions of anonymity, officials at ESPN said the Busch Series races would be exclusive domain of ESPN2 under terms of a new television contract, reporter Andy Bernstein writes.(NASCAR Scene Daily Newsletter)(10-19-2005)

I wonder who's commentating.
Coverage should be better.

really hope Dr. Jerry Punch and Bob Jenkins are involved at some level.

I'm sure that Dr. Punch will be involved as well as Jenkins. Doc Punch had chances to go to other networks, but he is a man with loyalty and has said so and that's why he stuck with ESPN.

I'd like to see Jenkins back but I doubt that ESPN will sign him again.

Guido, I wasn't aware that Bob wasn't still signed with ESPN. Why don't you think they will resign him if he isn't already?

Jenkins moved to SpeedVision several months ago. I love the fact that NASCAR is back on ESPN. World class coverage returns.

It is my understanding that he was let go due to something that happened when he was doing IRL.

I'm starting to reminisce already. I'm sure the boys would say it's like old home week. Those were the days, but we've gone past that now and while many of us might think that the chemistry is still there, there will no doubt be those who have never witnessed these guys before and will not like what they see or hear. Too bad for them. :)

I'm hearing some bad things about this. Apparently, NHRA's deal with ESPN runs out at the end of 06..so if ESPN favors NASCAR over NHRA, this could be a big mess....can anybody say ESPN3?

NASCAR has a far larger fan base than does NHRA. I guess they're goin' where the money is (like everyone else).

well its no comparison. NHRA has a small fan base and NHRA PAYS ESPN and espn gets nothing, while with NASCAR, ESPN WOULD PAY NASCAR but get all the rights to the logo and such in return, plus the mega big fan base.
