Did anyone watch this show last night? Richard Petty and Bobby Allison was #1. I remember the #11 pretty good too. It was Dale Earnhardt and Geoff Bodine. I was at Charlotte one year when they had been wrecking each other quiet abit and that race they wrecked each other and took several other cars in the process. Bodine was finished for the day and they parked Earnhardt for 5 laps. After that was when Nascar brought them to Daytona and made them go out to dinner together to work out their differences.:D

I only caught part of it. Petty and Allison had a nasty fued for a few years. As a young Richard Petty fan, I used to not be able to stand Bobby Allison. But that was then.

Did they mention the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry on that top 20 do you know?

Petty and Allison...hmmm, my thoughts would be Petty and Pearson. See what I know. Also Earnhardt and Bodine? While there was plenty of tension between those two, how about Earnhardt and Elliott. How about Yarborough and Allison? There are lots of rivalries I can think of. I guess those might have been part of the equation, but I didn't catch it.

So what do y'all think is the top rivalry these days?

buck, my thought was Petty and Pearson, also. :)

I don't really see any "rivalries" in the old sense, anymore. I see stiff competition, but no "take no prisoners" rivalries.

I watched a recent interview with R. Petty. That was one of the questions. Richard's answer was Pearson among others, but mostly Pearson.

Petty and Pearson was either #2 or #3. There was Earnhardt and DW also.
