Essential Oils

Just curious how many of you use them and what exactly you use them for. I've recently started looking into them, but it's tough for me because I've got a cat and apparently several of them can be very toxic to cats. I mainly purchase them for the scent, but I did purchase Geranium oil due to the fact that I do a lot of hiking and it's said to work great against repelling ticks. We'll see if that is true. The oils seem to have many many different uses.

My wife has had knee surgery and has had some discomfort in the knee until she started using them . She says they really do help her knee. She attended a lecture on using them and some of them seem to be remedies of long ago.I know some who use them to help with their allergies and claim they work great.
