Yeah, he does!

And he might also need the $$$ to support Erin Crocker's lifestyle.

I'm just sayin...

I was wondering when she'd be brought into the discussion...3 posts.

First, I don't give a flip about his private life.

Second, I always enjoyed his comments on NASCAR Now and his rare appearances in the booth. His comments were always clear and concise --- never condescending to the audience.

I agree, TRL! I like Ray a lot. I think he is very knowledgeable and very well-spoken. He will do very well, as he has proven already. Good move by SPEED.

He needs to replace Tim Brewer at the cutaway car. I liked Brewer as a CC, but not as a Expert explaining the car. I wished they would get rid of that crap anyway, no new fans to the sport that needs explanation about the size of the restictor plate or the differnce in tghe new and old cots!

I was thinking the same thing. Brewers subjects and presentation are flat. Someone like Evernham explaining what the driver wants and how he would give it to him would actually enlighten some fans.

Brewer is only doing what the producer and director tell him to do. It's not like HE decides when he's gonna talk - or what he's gonna talk about. The cutaway car is actually kinda cool, I think.

If I were producing the telecasts, I would do away with the Studio Hosts and leave the telecast to the play-by-play and color commentators, as was done when Bob, Benny and Ned did every race for ESPN. They didn't need no stinkin' studio host!! :D

I think it goes like this Producer:"Tim, you're on in 11 seconds to explains shocks. Get it done in 23 seconds".

Evernham would never put up with that.

I have to ask, what's with Parsons left eye? It's almost always closed and never more than slightly open. Did it get injured in his career?
