Excused from post race interviews

He had to get back to Michigan; but the real question is did he travel with Joey who wasn't excused. If he flew back with Joey he shouldn't have been excused since he was waiting for him anyway.

Is it close enough to helicopter the entire route? If not perhaps they coptered to the track seperately but flew together on a plane. Sorry I somewhat geographically challenged not to mention avation clueless:eek:

That would have been one uncomfortable ride back if Joey had to fly with Kyle. ;) Poor kid - last week he thought he did something wrong and this week he snookered him. :D

I think Joe and Kyle give Joey and Denny ten lashings if Kyle doesn't win the race? He did nothing wrong at Dover but move Kyle out of the way

Regarding Dover. shrubette said in an later interview he knew he had a tire going down, he brought them to the flag slow hoping something would happen. It was green/white/checkers and if the caution came out the field would be frozen. then he could limp around for the win. His exact words were "not giving anyone a Christmas present".

#1 he knows he has a propblem
#2 he knowingly brings them down slow hoping for a crash. Very considerate of his fellow racers, huh?
#3 he can't get up to speed, Joey runs into him and it's all Joeys fault (WT&???)
#4 he costs JGR a win.

Arogant, self centered punk. No you don't roll over and play dead but you also don't jeopardize a win by your teammate if you can't win and you don't knowingly place the rest of the field in a situation that might result in injuries let alone tearing up good equipment.

and that's the name of that tune,

If that's the case, then someone needs to educate Shrub on the rulebook. If the caution comes out, the field is frozen except for the drivers involved in the crash. Therefore, if Kyle's tire blew, he would not be allowed to maintain his position. He'd also have a pretty hard time maintaining speed behind the pace car.

"Kyle Busch was asked about his two most recent run-ins -- one on the track with teammate Joey Logano in the Nationwide Series race .
Regarding Logano, who turned him on the final restart in the Nationwide race at Dover, Busch said his tire had been going down and it wasn't Logano's fault."

"Didn't call it over the radio because I didn't want to give everybody Christmas and say that I had a tire going down," Busch said, "because if I could have jacked up the restart enough and caused a wreck then I would have been fine. I would have been golden. It was a green-white-checkered. I would have won the race."

Easy to do pace car speed with a tire going down, even flat

Kyle would have done it to him in a heartbeat.

Yep. When it comes down to the finish, there are no more team mates, isn't that what they say? Remember Spring 07 in Martinsville? Jeff & Jimmie were beating and banging and of course IMO, Jeff SHOULD have moved Jimmie. ;)

ME TOO:mad:

Sears Point in 2003. Robby got under Kevin in the last turn UNDER YELLOW and took the lead. Kevin was pissed that his teammate passed under yellow. I think this was in the last few laps.

Jimmy Spencer "Coming to the flag I'd put my own mother in the wall"

Gotta love him.:D

So is that why there's the new rule of no passing under yellow? ;) :D Good ole Robby... he hasn't tossed a helmet in a while. I thought I heard Mikey Waltrip calling his name. LOL Oh wait.. He was calling HIM names after Robby took a jab at him after he got wrecked a bit ago. heh heh :p:D

Who says there would be a crash?????
Why would he not be ALLOWED to maintain his position????
Besides Kyle would try his best to win with a flat tire.

Didn't carl Edwards or someone win that way.....Was going VERY slow behind the pace car because something was wrong with the car???? out of gas or something like that?

I think that was Biffle last year at MIS or another fuel mileage race. I remember some controversy after that race, people saying Kenseth should have won.

I think he was remembering the week before when he pitted for a tire going down and there was a wreck right after the restart, if he had stayed out he would have won.

He tried to move him, Jimmie wasn't letting him:)

A lot of other drivers would've tried staying out on a flat if they needed a good run or wanted to win.

Don't you know Bucky, Shrub could donate a kidney to save someone's life and everyone would still complain.

"Oh he didn't give away both of his kidneys"

So is that why there's the new rule of no passing under yellow?

At one time you raced back to the yellow and passing was allowed. Dale Jarrett,IIRC, got turned and was broadside across the track coming out of turn 4, drivers side to the oncoming cars. Na$car looked at that and figured someone sooner or later was going to get killed. DJ was very lucky he wasn't clobbered. Na$car then started the freezing of the field the moment the yellow comes out. A week or two later the so=called lucky dog was instituted.

For bonus points, what was it called and who had the dog on his hood?

If there wasn't a crash, for example if Kyle's tire blew and left debris on the track, he would still not be allowed to maintain his position because his car brought out the yellow. This rule goes back several years to when Junior intentionaly spun his car at Bristol to bring out the caution, and keep from going a lap down.

If the caution came out for a wreak behind Kyle that he was not involved in, then he would be allowed to hold his position. Even if his tire was flat, all he'd have to do is come back around to the finish line and maintain speed with the pace car. If he had some type of catastrophic tire failure, and was not able to maintain speed under caution, then he would lose his position.

.
If a 4th place car spun out on the track and brings out the caution, but noone passes him because he gets it going again, he stays in 4th position.

The only one I can think of is Spencer, who was sponsored by Sirius..blue dog on the hood. I can't remember what the rule was first named.
