Expired food in stores

I cooked some food the other day and I noticed that something didn't taste right when I started to eat it. Checked the bag and the product expired October 11th 2010. Aren't grocery stores suppose to have people that make sure the products aren't expired? Now I take part blame for not checking the date in the first place but still you would think they would be more responsible.

Yeah you think they would be more responsible but anymore is up to us to just make sure.

Yeah I worked in a grocery store for a year I don't know if that was someone's job or not I was just a cashier, though I did find something one day that was waaaaay out of date.
