The British Grand Prix is one of the few races that has appeared on every single F1 world championship calendar since 1950, visiting many of the UK’s greatest race tracks before eventually settling at Silverstone during the 1990s. It welcomes a baying crowd that leaves very few seats empty, draped in the Union Jacks which they hope will spur the British drivers onto a highly popular victory.

Can't watch it this weekend because I'll be at the NHRA drag races at Route 66/Chicagoland. For those planning to get up early to watch it, it's on CNBC this weekend. NBC finally making use of CNBC, which shows nothing but infomercials crap on the weekend.

Actually, I'm thinking about going to Route 66, too. But, that's what DVR is for. We usually record the early races and watch after getting up. Skipping commercials is worth having to avoid social media for awhile.

Will Buxton's been all sorts of "honest" on Twitter :XXROFL:

Meanwhile the FIA makes another balls of GP2 stewarding. @JolyonPalmer given a €12,000 fine for calling Canamasas a f+++ing idiot. Pathetic.

Will Buxton ‏@willbuxton 11m
Rosberg called to the stewards for not heeding yellows. Given how stupid the decisions have been here, they'll likely ban him for Germany.

Will Buxton ‏@willbuxton 10m
The sad thing is, I'm only half joking.

Given recent Mercedes penalties if Rosberg is found guilty for not heeding yellows, @sambirdracing will probably get a 10 spot grid penalty.

Vettel out, wow. Pretty wild race.

Was this Pirelli´s first race in the F1?

If so, it screwed up a lot of good racers and their possibilities: Hamilton in 4th instead of perhaps 1st. Massa was doing a great job; Perez had a better chance to move up.

I think this is their third year back in F1, but this year there's been a lot of talk about how susceptible their tires are to failure. Seven in one race is just unacceptable.

What happened at Silverstone is the reason why you don't test untested stuff during live season.

Aside that, what's up with all the political bullcrap.
