Morning race fans.

Watching an old IndyCar 36 from last year following Josef Newgarden before the Indy 500... man Sarah Fisher is like a fine wine, she's getting better looking with age. :D :D :D :D

Edit: Wait, this is from this year. My TV guide thinger says it's from last year.

Well, I've got to go put a carb on the outboard. Enjoy the race.

I'm back :) Got the carb on but I see that by the looks of the prop, my **** brother must've been running it in a gravel pit the last time he used it so no boating today.

Any ideas on what the most expensive prop is? I wont be paying for it;)

LOL, no idea. My old man has an 18' Concord ski boat with a 300 horse Merc outboard and hit some rocks in water while pulling a skier about two years ago and had to replace the prop and skag. Helped him replace it but no idea what he went with.

That Mercedes car would look cool if it was matte silver. I think it would look more like the old Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrows of old then.

I tuned in during a replay of Grosjean running wide and got a penalty. Later Hamilton ran a guy even wider w/o a penalty. What was the deal for the penalty, was there more to it?

They said all four of Grosjean's tires left the racing surface, which is absolute bull****. A - I don't think all four left the racing surface. B - You could make the case Button forced him out there.

Terrible call from the FIA on that one. And that terrible Will Buxton should be working NASCAR with Darrell Waltrip. He absolutely kissed the FIA's butt after Hobbs and the whole world said it was crap.

I still wonder how the F1 stewards work, I noticed some weird calls in the past even after the races is over - do they have a guy doing race control during the race or is it a committee type of deal. The race control guy guy for Indy made a lots really bad calls over the years, I think they replaced him this year.

No idea, but when FIA apologist Will Buxton was praising the FIA he said that former driver Allan McNish was now the Chief Steward or something, and claimed everybody liked the stewarding. But I guess not. Hobbs really ripped them when Grosjean was penalized, said something like "If that's not clean racing, then I don't know what is." I think this will be the next big F1 controversy. I think replay showed Grosjean didn't have all four wheels off the racing surface.

McNish was the the 'driver steward' for this race, nominated from the list of 'super licence' holders not driving in the race. I think they have a different one for each race, usually it's a retired F1 driver like Allan. It seemed like they were just calling everything that even looked close to a penalty, and then making the call after a more thorough review. I agree that RoGro pretty much had to go off-track to prevent a collision, and he didn't advance his position by doing it, so no foul.

Real happy with Hambone's first win of the season, and Kimi's second place.

All I hope is that they have some video footage of Grosjean and all four tires off the track. Even then, it still looks like he was forced wide. Hate to be dramatic, but this is the kind of thing that breaks Concorde Agreements. I hope Bernie was telling the truth when he said it was already signed in the pre-race.

I saw that, didn't sound very genuine to me. I think he was just blowing Buxton off.

Yeah, I thought Bernie would be nice to Buxton because I assumed he would want to impress the American audience since he wants to schedule all these events in America, but he treated Buxton like he was somebody else's five year old son. This guy makes Tony George and Brian France look like Mother Teresa.

Maybe I'm overestimating the impact it'll have. Checking the European news sites, the lead sporting story is Hamilton's first victory for Mercedes. Even the French sites have nothing on Grosjean being penalized apparently incorrectly. I wonder if the European carriers didn't portray it the way NBCSN's team did. Oh well, will have to keep an eye on the news for a while.

The stewards failed today. I'm super stoked Hamilton got the win though!!!!

RoGro is going to suck until he kills himself or somebody else. That guys perception of what works is horrible.
