F1 Blocking

after reading that article i think thats what its saying, but their whole car has to be behind you, right?
 
Yeah, I think? Maybe? It certainly doesn't clarify anything.

I'd like to know what a "significant" part of the car is? I'd say with the millions of dollars it takes to build them, any part of the car is bound to be "significant".
 
This is why I prefer racing series that not only allowing blocking butt also Punting a fellow competitor out of the way.
 
Yep between Indy car and F1 the entire blocking thing is ridiculous, just race already, blocking is part of racing last time I checked.
 
All series are different. Blocking is a cheap way to stay in front of someone in Open Wheel because bumping is not an option.

I just think way too much emphasis is put on in open wheel, giving way when the race is on the line isn't racing IMO.
 
Blocking is an effective method. Currently you get one block, then you have to let him go if he has position and is faster.

If you block and hit the binders, the guy behind you will probably get his main plane destroyed.
