Amazing historic track. Wish they raced on the banked superspeedway section from the 1950s. :) Cool that NBCSN is bringing Mario onboard for this race.

On a cloudy day in Monza, yet another dominating victory by the Red Bull team. Thoughts:

After seeing all the drama coming out of MWR's "team orders" in the NASCAR race at Richmond, you almost have to smile at Massa's get-out-of-Fernando's-way move today. That must be what Smedley meant by saying "right, time to race our race" on the radio after the field got sorted out on the opening lap and Massa was ahead of Fernando. My 'better half' thought it was unfair that Ferrari sent Massa and Alonzo out in that order in Q3 so Fred could use Massa's car to get a draft.

It was great having Mario in the studio with the broadcast team. I hope they do that for every race from now on, with different drivers. His memories of Adrian Newey in CART were cool to hear, and his translation of Alonzo's radio comms were good, too. Maybe understanding Italiano and French should be prerequisites for the color commentator job from now on!

Not my favorite outcome, but what're you gonna do? Hearing the crowd booing and jeering Vettel during the podium ceremony reminded me of when me and my racing buddies used to boo Emo at Indy Time Trials because Penske was so dominant (note: this only happened after Mears retired, and maybe after the Great Orange Juice Kerfufle. NEVER booed Mears). About Red Bull, if Ricciardo doesn't equal Webber's performance, bad starts and all, what does that say about Mark's driving ability? And if someone wants Red Bull to stop winning, they're going to have to beat them on the track. And in the pits, weren't all of their pit stops under 3 secs. today? I'm hoping it's Ross Brawn and Mercedes before Ferrari, but it seems like the dominant team in F1 changes every few years.

Looking forward to a better race in Singapore!
