F1 moving forward without Speed

That's what my son is saying too. And I'd be fine with that. Wonder if Varsha and those guys would still work the race broadcast. (I could do without the spazz in the pits though, Will Buxton)

I hope they do. We'll see though. NBC does a great job with the IZOD IndyCar Series.

Maybe now we'll get live coverage of Monaco.

NBC Sports and Formula One announced a 4-year deal starting in 2013. Four races on NBC and 16 on NBC Sports Network.

From NBC Sports:

NBC Sports Group has signed a four-year deal with Formula One for the exclusive U.S. media rights to the world's most popular global motorsports series.

The deal that begins next season will air four races on NBC. The remaining 16 races, and all practices and qualifying sessions will be on cable NBC Sports Network in what's expected to total more than 100 hours of annual programming.

All 20 races will be live streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra, the NBC Sports Group’s live-stream platform that is available online at NBCSports.com as well as on mobile and tablet apps.

This is exciting. My biggest gripe about F1 on FOX is that several races aren't aired live in any capacity.

My biggest beef with Speed coverage: The producer knows nothing about racing. He probably works for TNT during the NASCAR season.

MORON, straight up.

I enjoy F1 on SPEED. But NBC does a good job now with IndyCar.

This whole thing is interesting. Now, ARCA's got a major announcement about television coming tomorrow.

Speed gets their video from the world feed. The announcers aren't even on site during the races. They just comment from a studio in Charlotte.

Then the producers are real morons. Some battle will be heating up and smash, they goto something where absolutely nothing is happening.

I can't believe they don't have control over what camera feed they are getting.
