F1 or na$car

I don't play that game. I watch one live and then dvr the other one and watch it all the way through.

NASCAR from 1:20ish-2, F1 until checkered around 3:30, NASCAR to the checkered afterwards.

Gene Haas said today in an interview that the 2016 season would be the best time to debut his F1 team. He also said that he doesn't know if she will be the driver...but, that Danica Patrick would be a very good candidate for the driving job.

At the end he said it was a long shot though. He'd be better off trying to grab a veteran towards the end of their career (maybe Button) and a younger driver like Rossi.

It is definitely a long shot...but, with her popularity i think she would bring a lot more viewership then someone that is already there. At least it gives us something to discuss around the water cooler, but we will just have to wait and see.

Came here thinking it was a troll trap; nice to see so many forum members giving F1 a chance.

Kev makes a good point about young drivers, but Danica's in good shape, active lifestyle off the track, and doesn't want to have kids. The window won't be open long, but it would be a very lucrative endeavor for all involved. Go Daddy's chubby would be massive just thinking about it.

At least she can't do worse than Michael Andretti :)

I think Michael was commuting from the US. Plus F1 changed the rules so Michael didn't have a chance to practice at the tracks until race weekend. I recall that Michael had one great pass when passing in F1 was more rare than today. And he owned up to he mistakes which the F1 press found unusual because race car drivers always blamed the other guy during that era. His stint in F1 wasn't very impressive. Given more time and commitment he probably would have done better.

F1. But I might TIVO the NASCAR race and watch it if I don't have anything else to watch this week in the garage.

And...... uh.......OUCH!! Two teammates take each other out on the first lap in the F1 race!! That sure breaks the Golden Rule about - not hitting your teammate. :(

And I can't see Danica switching over to F1. I don't think she could make it. Although I do wish she would go back to Indycar. I miss watching her there. :(

I agree, Danica hasn't proven she's anywhere near other possible talent that will be clamor in for open seats in F1. If you want to develop a car and eventually have a contender, you aren't going to put her behind the wheel.
