First comment, Will Buxton looks like a dork in that stupid hat, worse than the Dillon brothers.

You got that right.

What is with all the paint on the course? Is there a function or is it appearance only?

Ferrari removed a seal on Massa's gearbox that gets him a 5 grid spot penalty and advances Alonso to a p7 grid position, or the clean side of the track.

They used the rules to their advantage. No team rules?

I dont think there are any rules now in place preventing a team from supporting their number one car. There is no doubt that Massa's job is to support Alonso at Ferrari.

Red Bull and McClaren claim they have no team orders or number one driver. I guess it is a team call

My friend was there. Said it was "like a tsunami of people" around him. He was on the grassy knoll between T18 and 19.

Extremely high praise for the new track from Hamilton:

Hamilton said. “There are a couple of Grand Prix that are somehow out on their own: there’s Monaco, Silverstone, Montreal, Spa and Monza. Now you can this circuit to that list - it’s already one of the best racetracks in the world, maybe even right up there in the top three."

Whoa. The race is still on my DVR, I decided to watch NASCAR live, but when a driver says something like that - holy cow.
