If the Roush/Yates cars can qualify this good at a plate track... Watch out the rest of the year !!! The new bodies must have cut out some of that problematic drag. :D :D :D

Ok I know that I am not the brightest candle on the cake. But in the Bud Shootout there were 7 Chevys in the top 10. In Bud pole quialfing. There were 4 Fords, 4 Chevys and 2 Dodges. Please tell me how that makes the Fords dominatimg. Just wandering.

4 fords in the top 5, hey gollum you know as well as i do If chevy dominates the 500 ford will be cryin.

Just a few #s I dug up for ya gollum to explain why us blue oval fans are excited... These are from past 4 Daytona races...

Avg # of Fords per 43 = 12.5
Avg # of Fords starting in top 10 = 1.75 (14%)
Avg # of Fords finishing in top 10 = 4.5 (36%)
Avg startin spot for Ford = 25
Avg finishing spot for ford = 17 (8 positions avg increase)

This year at Daytona

# of Fords per 43 cars = 8
# of fords starting in top 5 = 4 (50%)
avg starting spot for Ford = 12.5
avg finishing spot for Ford = ???(but I like the trend) :D

Wow, only 8 Fords starting in the Daytona 500, I didn't realize that. Rousch has half of them and RYR has a pair, no wonder they teamed up on engine and aero information.

Elliott Sadler is gonna be one tough horse to handle next week!

Yeah, well, no accounting for taste I reckon. :p

If there is a more ardent dyed in the wool blue oval lover around I ain't met them. Why walk when God gave us Fords to drive? :D

Ah, a man of reason, sophistication, and impeccable class. No finer forum member exists than ol' 97. I decree monuments and statues be erected in his honor! Bring the fatted calf, surely we feast tonight! Let loose the doves and strike up the band!

man, you conceded awful easy.

I concede nothing, except the plain truth. DUI Racing will be untouchable as always. Ho hum, there are 40 cars in a pack, no one can pass all day long...but wait, here comes Junior! He's on the inside...passed two there in turn one...now he jumps outside in turn two...passes six more...gets another dozen on the backstretch...three more in turn three 2 outside one inside...now he jumps down in front of some poor schmuck causing him to flip upside down...amazing how that car can pass at will, isn't it BP?...But he's not illegal, oh noooooo...

That's what I concede. :D

Wonder how many hours--or minutes---it will be before those spoon-fed Chevy drivers start whining
to Nascar about their 'disadvantage'? And how many seconds it will take Nascar to give in?

I say tomorrow morning at least one of the malcontents--probably Childress---will be crying all over the press.

Oh well, today was at least a good flashback to the days when Ford and Mopar ruled the Stock car racing world.

I don't think Childress will say much. Rockingham has not been good to Childress in reacent years. Harvick had his best finish of 13th today. So I don't think he will say much.

It sure is fun seeing the oval win, and the chevy boys eating crow. But the season is young I hope it continues. :D :D :D

 Matt Kenseth

I agree FT. 3 races. 2 Ford wins, 1 Chevy win. The Ford's better watch it though, the Dodges are hot on their behinds!!!
