The weather the next few days may play a little into practice, qualifying and even the race itself. Saturday (according to The Weather Channel) is supposed to be quite windy, and at my home the temp has even dropped into the 30s.

Supposed to rain tonight with T-Storms on Friday. Looks like Quals may be rained out. :(

Rain forecast at AMS Friday: there is heavy rain forecast for the Hampton, GA area on Friday, October 27 and Friday night also. Qualifying for the Bass Pro Shops 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway is scheduled to start at 7:10pm/et. Practices for Nextel Cup, IROC plus the Truck Series are scheduled Friday also. If all are washed out, qualifying could be cancelled and the field set by the rules book [top 35 by OWNERS points, past champs, then by race attempts]. Keep track of the weather at Raceweather.net or The Weather Channel.com.(10-27-2006)
