Failed Inspection

of course..minimum ride height rule at plate tracks only..where you are in a pack and need all the downforce you can get. I agree with Hamlin getting busted, but the minimum height rule at a plate track is ridiculous as the qualifying.

Being given a chance to fix it and failing again says loads about somebody in the organization

It was one stupid rule they got rid off. Big buck trick shocks that are supposed to spring back up so they pass inspection. But hell no lets keep the rule for plate tracks only. Probably one of Brian's good ol boy network that have a piece of the shock business.

Now I know why we cant get a rule book, it weighs 500 pounds and has 500 thousand pages

Are the zero ride height shocks less expensive? I can help with the answer if you're stuck ...

Your "reasoning" for retention of the rule at plate tracks is absurd. You have no idea why they kept it.

Got news for ya. Aunty has been to the Hauler before and doesn't give a **** if he gets bounced out. I, for one, appreciate his candor. Keeps much of the bull**** in line......not singling you out or anything. Back 'er down my man.

I don't agree with some of your posts. I don't like some of your other posts ... that depends upon whether or not you're making declarative statements and passing them off as facts or posting in a manner that exhibits various cognitive biases. I have taken issue with what you've written - with your posts - not with you. Referring to you as a regionalist is not name-calling.

I've read the rules. If anything I've said directly to you draws the ire of a moderator, I'll be surprised. Respectfully, I suggest you re-read them ... referring to another poster as a goof is a no-no everywhere and in rather poor taste.

Why would I or anyone else troll you? You are clearly poorly informed, highly opinionated and quite frankly ... not very interesting.

Have a pleasant evening.

"Obviously NASCAR does a great job inspecting the cars and they found that our ride heights after qualifying were too low," said Greg Ives, crew chief for Earnhardt Jr.'s No. 88 Chevrolet. "They did their due diligence of allowing us to go through their processes of how they deal with it. In the end we still ended up low.

I'm reading that as they did a remeasure, not a chance to make changes to the car.

Probably the best race to not pass inspection at, starting last in the duel could be a blessing. Much better in my opinion than the middle of the pack, where both would have been.

True, but my comments were self-serving. I like Aunty. He has kicked my ass a time or ten, but it's never personal. Taught me how to love this sport without pontificating which tends to be a problem on boards like this. Would like to see him stay around for awhile.

Just look at old Kylie poo and me. We banter a lot but dude got my respect. We used to talk it up in private chat. Then he insulted my New York pride. :D
