Ok i missed around 230 laps of the race. (the 1st 230 laps)...

but when Robby got in to DJ and spun him. NOT Robbys falght, he tryed not to get in to him but could not go any lower and dj came down on him and robby bumped him. nascar told Robby if he hit anyone else he would be parked.

But you got the 6 knocking everyone out of the way, and jr doing the same thing to cars. and they never said anything to them about pushing ppl out of the way.

but i dont know if something happand in the 1st 230 laps that i missed, but still they should not have told Robby anything usless they told the 8 and 6 the same thing.

Maybe Robby's reputation preceeds him?

And maybe a lap down car wrecking cars on the lead lap is going to garner more attention?

Robby was warned, I think, not because of the Jarrett incident. Robby was a rolling obstacle all night, cutting off lead lap cars in the turns and all but daring them to punt him. Even the announcers were making side bets as to how soon certain drivers would boot him.

But Robby did try to move out of the DJ, but could not get any lower. Plus if he did move out of the way for the leaders he would have lost a few places himself.

mark was pushing anyone and everyone out of his way leaders and lap cars.

im not mad or think they was just picking on robby or anything.

:rolls eyes:

It was half about Robby and half because Jarrett is a driver in the midst of the "chase." $5 says that Nascar will be doing a lot of warning to drivers who mess with the drivers in the "chase." By Richmond every driver will have to play dead against those drivers in the "chase."

Frist, there was no penalty applied, it was just a warning...

Second, I think the two factors cited above really play into it - especially a lap down car making contact versus a car on the lead lap making contact.

If you are a lap down, you are expected to give more than cars on the lead lap.

Boy! Richmond is gonna be fun being the last race to get into the top 10. Imagine the tempers if someone runs into a top 10 contender and drops him out of the top 10?

The Richmond race may be just plain NUTZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!
California may very well be more of the same. With
things just getting started there.

Annnnnnnnnd, we will be there to watch on both Saturday and Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can hardly wait!!!!!

I have to disagree with the lap cars having to "Give in" if I was a lap car I would fight my ass off to try to get the lucky dog or pass the leader if possible. If Ryan Newman would have gave up yesterday he would not have finished second. Not all cenerials (sp?) are the same but you get my meaning.

I think you mean scenarios. A lap down car is expected to show some courtesy to cars on the lead lap.

No one said anything about giving in.

But if you are a lap down lap and you are beating and banging on cars on the lead lap, then you can expect to get a call from the tower telling you to calm down.

Just a note from a dirt track racer. (not saying anyone said anything about this just on my mind)

The blue/yellow flag does not mean "Move Over" it means hold your line leader(s) are comming. nothing more they do not half to move over.

also i say take the mirows(sp) out of the cars, they took em out of dirt cars cause ppl started to block and let orthers win the race, so take them out that way you got to listion for the orther cars.

also take out the radios, no racing back to yellow, no freze the fied(last lap counts) no speed limet on pit lane, in orther works take it back to racing where you had to have a good car and be a good driver to win.

**yes i know i got a bunch of spelling,in a hury, i got like 100 math problems to do before tomm    :( **

I cannot believe you would suggest removing mirrors from 200 mph race cars.

R.Gordon sure didn't do Kenseth any favours. Of course Kenseth didn't do himself any favours by pitting late in the race.

Say what you will about Robby G but at least he's consistant. He's a racer and if you are around him on the track you gotta know what you are getting. He has always raced the same way whether he was on the lead lap or several laps down (with mixed results of course). He's definitely on the Dale Jr. diet of rear bumpers. Mr. Overcommercialization was bumping folks out of the way all night, as he does every week but no one ever says a word to him. I guess Jr's a little better at it because at least he doesn't wreck em. I know, I know....Jr was in the lead so folks should get outta his way, blah, blah, blah. Maybe I notice Jr. bumping folks every week since the cameras are on his car 60% of the time no matter what position he's in. I like Jr's personality but I'm sick of seeing him on everything. I think I would rather watch Biffle scarf down sweet onion chicken terriyaki's every 5 minutes (get that man some visine and a few napkins).

Anyway, off the soapbox, bottom line Robby G is Robby G and he partially punted DJ, I didn't think it was overly blatent considering the track and Robby should get a break on this one (even though I called him bad names during the race), spotters probably could have done a better job

I'll promise you that horse is dead, you can quit kicking him, he won't move.

Lap down cars at a Bristol Race? if they have a problem with "rough driving" at Bristol, maybe they should have less than 43 freakin' cars on the track...perhaps two twenty car races or something, but just because you go a lap down at bristol doesn't mean you can't get it back with all the potential for cautions...

Come on, once more for old time sake. :p

There is a lot of truth being bandied about. I thought the same about it being DJ's fault at the time but watching INC and hearing their explanation made sense. That maybe NASCAR said that to Robby because they saw him drive under DJ knowing that DJ would be coming down and Robby wouldn't be able to pull off the pass. Sometimes you have to look beyond the moment and see if there was a different reason for some action. Robby probably was wrong at that point to drive under DJ.
As to Lil'E, don't get me started...Lord knows, don't get me started...
