Fanfest canceled for this year’s NASCAR Champion’s Week in Las Vegas

The annual Fanfest on Fremont Street that is part of the NASCAR Champion’s Week in Las Vegas has been canceled for this year.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper was first to report on the event’s cancellation in Thursday’s edition.

Scheduling and logistic issues are partly cited for the reason of the cancellation, with Champion’s Week (Nov. 28 to Dec. 2) overlapping one of the biggest events held in Las Vegas each year, the National Finals Rodeo (Dec. 1 to Dec. 10)

It will be interesting to see if it returns or just quietly goes away never to be heard from again.
 
More than likely it was canceled because Austin Dillon wouldn't have been able to attend..... He had already made plans to be at the NFR .........Everyone has their priorities you know..........

Some of y'all say your season ends after Richmond. Mine ends after Homestead's Victory Lane celebrations. If I'd heard of this event before this discussion, I'd completely forgotten it.

If all the Vegas activities join the pre-season events they used to hold in Charlotte and Daytona in January, I won't remember they're gone when the Shootout rolls around. Uh, they were in January, right?
 
That’s what happens when the events are moved out of NASCAR loving and welcoming New York.
