Favorite Drivers

Size corresponds with how much I root for them ;)

Might as well add Tony Stewart to the list too, but I'm more a fan of his commentary pre/post-race than his driving :D
 
Marcos, (for obvious reasons - Australian), When I was a kid I was a Richard Petty fan, it all started as our house number was 43, so I followed the 43 car which was Petty.

I have to say though, there are only a few drivers who I think are douches, however as they are someones elses favourite driver, I respect this and keep my thoughts to myself... mostly.

Hey DaBiff , welcome to the forum . I'm an old Bill Elliott fan ,but I was a great fan of several drivers before Bill and after . I miss all of the old guys who have left Nascar racin. Don't get me wrong , I love the new guys too , Kurt , Kyle , Brad , Harvick , Smoke ....I love the guys with ATTITUDE . :D
 
The present I don't really pull for anybody. I guess the last time I really pulled for someone was Bobby Labonte when he was in the 18 Interstate Batteries car. I just always liked him in that car.

The past, I started by being a Earnhardt fan, I really pulled for just about every driver back then, the only one i didn't really care much for was Rusty Wallace, he just seemed to whine to much for my taste. Harry Gant and Davey Allison was a couple of my favorites.

Past: Alan Kulwicki, Davey Allison, Mark Martin, Dale Jarrett (my dad was a Ford guy so naturally I was too)
Present: Junior, Brad, Kurt
Honorable mention: Kenseth, Kahne, JJ, Harvick

The only ones I even remotely dislike these days are Hamlin and Gordon. I used to hate Hamlin with a passion but at this point I'd say I love to hate him. I want to see him bounce back from his injury and do well. As for Gordon, I just haven't forgiven him for what he did to Bowyer last year. That's honestly all it is. I'll get over it eventually.
 
Welcome to the forums, Biff. Despite everything that went down at Richmond, I'm still a Clint Bowyer fan, although I pull for all the Toyota guys. My favorite non-Toyota driver is Jimmie Johnson, so I'm a tad conflicted about Sunday ;)
 
New Jersey Devils......Oh you mean NASCAR,,,,Work for Lowe's, retired from the National Guard.......bet you can't guess!!

Tony Stewart.......only other driver I can cheer for other then smoke is Jeff Gordon...can't bring myself up to cheer for anybody else....
 
I think it goes without saying who my favorite is... however I also like (in this order) Bowyer, Edwards, Keselowski, Mark Martin, Biffle, Stewart(I never said that ;) ), and a bunch of lower tier drivers like Bayne, Larson, Bubba Wallace, Brian Scott, Chase Elliot among others.. and most definitely NOT anyone named Dillon, Johnson, Hamlin or Harvick.

I like your list Weaver , I might have added Neil Bonnett . He was a character and a good guy .
 
Mark Martin, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Larson, Kurt Busch, Johanna Long, Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace. That said, I'm starting to become a huge Chase Elliott fan. That dude doesn't give one single ****.
