favorite old school paint schemes

Anyone remember the number 8 Bobby Hillin Jr. Snickers car? I was very young but that was one of my favorite paint schemes. The Skoal Bandit 33 and the 88 Gatorade car also come to mind.

Anyone else have any? Maybe some of the more obscure cars?

I also love the race card segment. I don't really know how to post pics on here. Maybe Luke could hook us up with some more of those cool pics. Great stuff.
 
The classic Wood Brothers white with maroon and gold. Never be topped.

Tim Richmond's Old Milwaukee car was cool looking too.

Bobby Allison's white Miller Buicks were classic.

For a special paint scheme, I liked Sterling Marlin's KISS car from Phoenix a few years ago. I also think Sterling's silver car is the best looking car currently on the track.

I have to agree with ya on that one EMP, the Silver Bullet is a nice looking car.
 
This first car I was a fan of. It is still a good looking car.

I'm surprised that Nobody mentioned Rusty Wallace's #2 MGD black/gold Pontiac,that's a classic IMHO:

That Levi Garrett car sure was a nice looking car!! But the yellow and blue of the Wrangler cars top it all for me. :D

Dang, 24thunder, how on earth could I have forgotten that one? Love Rusty's black and gold --- sure wish it would come back.
 
Yeah, I forgot that one. I really liked it too.

Come to think of it, I believe Sterling's blue Maxwell House car was the coolest shade of blue I remember on a race car. If one could conveniently forget the pink and purple Underalls car he drove, you could argue that Sterling's had some slick rides in his day.
 
With only a few more cards to go, maybe some pics of real old cars would be something to think about. I'll take a look in the archives and maybe come up with some "early rides of the stars" type thing. Whadda ya think?
 
I for one would love it. Can I request a Bobby Isaac or two? Maybe a Marvin Panch?
 
cool, you guys brought up some obvious cars that I didn't even think about, the MGD car was great

Sterling drove a purple underalls car? That's hilarious, wish someone could dig up a picture of that one.

How about the 44 Piedmont car. That was a cool looking one. I think I remember seeing that car at a road race at Road Atlanta ions ago. I was very young so I could be wrong. I'm not even sure the venue, couldn't have been a winston race. Did Terry Labonte drive that car?

one of my fav all time paint jobs was Dale's "Petter Max" Car.....i loved that car B)
 
Rusty's MGD car was probably my favorite regular scheme.

But for special occasions I liked this one a whole lot
