Fellows racing this weekend?

who's this brian simos i'm hearing about? he is also supposed to race on sunday?

Brian Simo is primarily known for his racing in the Trans Am Series. He won the championship in season 2000 with Tommy Bahama as sponsor. There were some darn good drivers in seasons 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000. Tommy Kendall, Paul Gentilozzi, Boris Said, Brian Simo, Ron Fellows,.....to name a few. We raced against Simo, Gentilozzi, Said, etc in season 2000. We had an "incident" with Simo at Road America. :)

Loved that old Trans Am series. Some good racing back then and may I add Dorsey Schroeder to that list, a one time team mate of Simo's. What ever happened to that series?

Didn't it go bankrupt? I loved it back in the day of Mark Donahue(sp), the Camaro vs Mustang wars, now that was some good stuff !!

I kinda hate to put the blame on Gentilozzi as he was a friend to our team and helped us a few times with equipment and with track knowledge. However, he bought the series from Panoz and it then died a slow death with his rules changes, etc. He po'd Boris so much with the rules that boris quit the series.
