Jamaica, Virginia - Four straight weeks of rain-outs at Virginia Motor Speedway finally came to an end on Saturday night with a unique night of racing. Trying to make up some ground in missed points races, the staff at VMS split each of the night's feature races into two separate points paying races, split by just a five minute break to make changes to the cars. Then with either a 4, 6, or 8 car inversion the second feature kicked off as a second points paying race. Even with a short rain that came before the features started, there was a great crowd on hand to witness the great racing that ensued.

My gallery from the night can be seen on www.LuvRacin.com by going to the "writers/photographers" ling, then clicking on my name, "Larry Burnett/Va Dirt."

Sounds like you guys are having the same luck with weather as Volunteer Speedway. They've had as many rain outs as races.

It's crazy. The country's in the midst of the worst drought since the dust bow, and we keep getting rined out!
