Some dimwit cut a telephone line between me and my ISP.

ALL DAY ! ! I've been without 'net service. The shakes were starting to set in.

Just call me addicted. *sigh*
 
i know what you mean. at least im not on dialup anymore, my internet comes from a 200 foot tower 10 miles away.
 
MH, where I live, my 2 choices are dial-up or satellite. Since the dish is beyond my budget, I'm stuck with the phone line. Oh, well, at least I can still communicate with the outside world. LOL

Don't feel so bad, I'm on DSL and in the earlier part of the week I had no internet access AND could not dial out of my prefix area. The phone company claimed it was the at the service line that was for the street I was on and the problem had been fixed. Still devolping...
 
I'm in the middle of nowhere, same options. Then the local company put up 2 200 foot comm towers for wireless internet....and we got it.
 
really? Ours have a 10 mile range (we're getting a slight discount because we're actually 12 miles from the tower and are their test dummies..if they change something they have us test it first). So technically, we shouldnt even be able to have this, but we can anyways (mostly because we're on a hill and the recievers is on the second story roof)
 
I love my Road Runner :wub: I have never had a problem. Before I got it I had DSL, and I hated it. I stayed mad most of the time because service was out in my area.
 
This a little off topic, concerns cell service, when i moved back to Ma. from Co.Springs, right off the bat we noticed how horrible the cell service is here in the Springfield area. We have Nextel, never had any problems in Colorado, but man does it suck here, missed calls, dropped calls, no service....ect....i just don't get it. I move to a bigger metro area and the cell service is terrible. The thing is i really like Nextel, they always treat me well, great customer service , and i love their phones. Oh well had to rant there...thank you for your time...lol.
