Brendan Gaughan and Ted Musgrave were fined for inappropriate language Nascar announced on Tuesday.
Gaughan was fined $10,000 and Musgrave $2,500 according to Nascar.com.

I think this a little harsh in comparison to fines handed others for a lot worse language or behavior.

Your thoughts?

That is complete BS! Bobby Hamilton Jr. was only fined $3000 for saying $hit, and the cup folks were fined $5000 for saying $hit. IF Nascar wants to consider ass the same as the f-bomb or g-dmn, they really need to get a grip!!!

BRAVO Majx! My thoughts exactly!

AND Rusty has cussed on TV for years! Other drivers have exhibited similar behavior and no fines were handed out.

Is Nascar lining their pockets or (hehehe) donating the fine $$$ to charity?

Last I checked we do live in a free country and Folks can say whatever they want! I bet Nascar wouldn't stand a chance if this were taken to Court!!!

Let People be People! I bet Cale Yarborough and Bobby Allison didn't get fined for their fight in the 1979 Daytona 500! The whold things is just stupid!

IMO, I think it was the way brendan said "he can kiss my ass" Usally when drivers cuss it's a slip of the tougue, but IMO it looked like he did'nt give damn what people thought, he spoke his mind.
