NASCAR penalizes Busch series, Truck series teams
Chad Beahr, crew chief of the No. 89 Busch Series Dodge driven by Morgan Shepherd in the NASCAR Busch Series, was $1000 for improper jacking bolts that were found in opening day inspection at Chicagoland.
In the Truck Series, Mike Beam, crew chief for the No. 6 Ford, was fined $10,000 for the truck failing to meet the minimum roof height in post race inspection at Kentucky Speedway this past weekend.
Driver Travis Kvapil was penalized 25 championship driver points and truck owner Jack Roush was penalized 25 championship owner points.
Kvapil finished second Saturday. He is currently fourth in points.
