This may have been asked before but I can't remember ever hearing where the fine money goes any ideas?

Goes into the award money at the end of the year. Or at least, it did. It may have changed.

I think the fine money now goes to charity. They changed this after Knaus was getting rich from cheating.

What happens to the money from the penalties? Starting in 2008 all money collected from fines issued to drivers go to the NASCAR Foundation for its charitable initiatives, before the money collected from driver/crew member penalties are generally placed into the Drivers Points Fund awarded at the end of the season.

I was wondering when that would be asked. I'm sure there is a conspiracy out there somewhere. Haha

The NASCAR Foundation actually does some great things but as with most anything positive regarding NASCAR, those things tend to be ignored by many.
