Although I want to see a weekend sweep by the 22. I would like to see Kyle Larson redeem himself and take that dash for cash. Im looking forward to this kids career, I want him to win one. I was yellin at the TV at Bristols closing laps that was amazing. One of the best rookie drivers in years. If not THE best.

I'm not saying he'll win it (yet), but I think he does have a legitimate shot at the championship now. He's only 44 points out of 1st, he's earned the most points in the last seven races by far (267; second most is Allgaier at 245), and he's the only driver with seven straight Top 10 finishes.

He absolutely could. He's very consistent while all the other guys are having bad races here and there taking themselves out. Guess he used up all his bad luck in the first race.

Redeem himself? What's he done that's required redemption? He's a rookie; yellow stripes are license to screw up.
I guess just in his own mind. Daytona didnt go so well last time. Im sure he wants to go out there and get the finish he deserved in February. Also I'm not sure what rookie stripes has to do with it.. Keselowski got into Smith to start that wreck.

Why is Tony Raines in the #70 instead of Johanna Long?

They're different teams, sharing a number to avoid DNQs. The #70 entry is shared by ML Motorsports (2013 Chevrolet) and NEMCO-Robinson (2013 Toyota) to allow them to pick and choose events without worrying about falling out of the top 30 in owner's points. ML ran full seasons in ARCA, winning several races, but they chose to pack that up and focus on Busch\Nationwide.

I want you to go out there and hit the pace car.
Hit the pace car?
Hit the pace car!
Why?
Because you've hit every other damn thing on the track, I want you to be perfect.

Great to Cole back at the track after his bad crash a few years ago.

He should win if he can just drive through the smoke!

It would be cool if they had the Mello Yello car, Exxon and others painted up and they was all side by side at the finish..

I wonder if the crew will be eating ice cream when he needs to pit.

Gotcha, thanks. That explains why they're always unsponsored and an S&P team when Raines is in it.

This is no half-hearted effort -- true to the movie, there are dozens of ice-cream sandwiches on order for a mid-race snack, and crewmen on the No. 1 team this weekend are wearing meshed-backed City Chevrolet caps just like their counterparts in the film. “Everybody wants these hats,” Busch said. “We only brought three boxes.” Busch will also serve as an in-race reporter for ESPN’s television coverage of the race.

Yes, we were racing in Bakersfield Ca, Salt Lake City, and Chicago for the past three weeks. I just returned home Wed. Tonight will be the first Nascar race I have been able to watch since I left three weeks ago. But, I did take my laptop with me so I could check in once in a while.:)

Ditto they don't last long in my house. LOL
love the Days of Thunder Car.
They don't last long around me either.LOL. I love the Days of Thunder Car also...I may have to watch my Days of Thunder dvd tonight after the race.:D

Regan Smith has slipped big time these past 2 weeks and I feel like Daytona is possibly the worst place to come after slipping like that. It's basically out of his hands tonight.

If he gets in a mess, it could bring a handful of drivers to the front of the point standings.

Best anthem this year.
That ain't saying much. I thought Bo Bice did a great job last week.

OT, but that man giving the command is a true legend. It must be hard to still be around NASCAR after all that it has taken from him.

Is there going to be a race thread??
