First fine of the Year

tony and jr. swore, and I don't think they fine ya for the car radio's only if they cuss on public TV

This was during the interview of stewart after the race, not on the in car communication.

just your average 4 letter s-word. Something about not giving a s___!

forgive me if I am wrong but did Derike Cope swear as well?

What did he have to swear about, he already has won more Daytona 500's than Rusty.

Tony swore on the radio.
 It was on the radio broadcast only, then. I have watched the 125s, as I had to tape them due to having to work, and Tony didn't spill a no-no word on the TV broadcast. I'm pretty sure that there will be no fine. Unless you would like to consider his comment about the tires being "junk".

Kurt Busch was fined once at Daytona for radio language wasnt he?Or was that radio remarks?
Maybe I didn't clarify myself. While they were interviewing Tony on the TV, he never used ANY no-no word. He just made the comment that he thought the tires were "junk" after so many laps.

As far as Kurt being fined, I'm not quite sure it was him. I do know that one of the Eurys and Jr. were having a "discussion" via the team radio during a race and there was a bad word said and it was broadcast over the television. They did get a fine for that. ;)

I'm referring to Busch being fined at Daytona a year or so ago for harsh language on his in car radio. I apparently misunderstood this entire post.

Is this even confirmed? Does anyone know?

These D*mn B*stards...all this swearing...makes me want to stop watching racing all together!

BTW...poor Harvick...nobody would work with him...maybe an attitude adjustment is in order? Alot more swearing from Happy, like the last few seasons might help? :idunno:

why should jr. and tony eury get fined for what they said in-car, it's NBC's fault for broadcasting it, all the drivers are cussing all the time on in-car radios.

Ask Todd Perritt, it happened to him at Daytona when he was Jarrett's CC.

This PC crap is being taken too far these days IMHO.There needs to be outlets for the communications between driver and teammates. ;)

They're even penalizing NFL teams for languages at times these days, bunch of BS IMHO ;)

Jr. used the "S" word during a post race interview on MRN.

They should put all the cussing fine $ in a pot to be distributed amongst the NON cussers listed charities at the end of the year.
