First Weekend Without Racing And It's Bad!

First weekend without truck, NNS or Cup and I am absolutely lost already. Steep withdrawal symptoms. Yes, there's football but that ain't racing.
You've got that right. I'll be watching F1 --- they are not my beloved taxi cabs, but it is fast cars.

I'll be in the woods waiting on a buck and watching the Varmints race one another around.
My residents have disappeared --- haven't seen the does or the buck in 2 weeks --- not even any tracks on their usual paths.

iRacing is running their iRacing NASCAR Pro Series and I've been keeping track of that. It's a ten race event and the top 20 in points will be able to compete in the NASCAR iRacing Series World Championship with the top 20 in points from the 2013 season. So it's a Winter series that's been interesting to watch.

The rut should be approaching where you are, get a doe in estrus bleat and a buck grunt and have someone show you how to use them and they will come arunnin right up to your porch.

I'm trying to fill the void with Saturday college football...but, that's not working out to good for me because my attention span keeps wandering. Maybe if they showed more closeups of the cheerleaders it would help a little.:D Maybe i will have better luck tomorrow with pro football.:)

I've got Ohio State to watch today and NFL tomorrow. I'm not hurting yet give me some time and they I will be going through withdrawals badly.

I can't say anything about the cheerleaders, but college games just don't do anything for me. Maybe because I don't have any connections to major schools.

Pro ball is about all I have left.

worked on my new-to-me HAM radio's mount and cleaned up the camaro today. Taking it to it's new owner tomorrow.

Getting some Deep Winter home improvement projects ready and staged . Gettiing along ok with out racing for now..May be different in a few weeks from now.....

That was my reply, he didn't tell us, I guess he just did.

You've sold it? That was quick.

It sold on Thursday. 15.5 with transmission. New owner lives down around the LA/MS border. Has a 900HP Dyno-fresh SMALL block he is putting in it. We crunched the numbers, 50HP less and 150 pounds less including difference in driver weights. We suggested he add some weight on the nose......

Delivering it tomorrow.

In other news, bought the new trailer, 17 even. Custom built, be done around end of february. So almost broke even there. $530 per linear foot or $8.33 per cubic foot.

I'm glad you got your car sold. What kind of trailer did you order?

32 foot continental cargo with the extra 12" (7.5 ft) ceiling and 60" doors.
You people and your racing stuff. Is it weird that I have a thing for enclosed trailers?

not at all. though expensive, they keep things looking shiny and new and protected. And you can live out of them at the 3-4 day races.

gooseneck...or tag ? dually ? triple ax ?
Triple Five Tag. The CDL limit is 25,999. Subtract 15 leaves 10,999. Most Dually's are 10,000, leaving 999 pounds under the law.

Trailers are measured tongue to door. So to get 32 foot floor, you can get a 32 tag or a 40 goose/fifth. But price goes up with length, sooooo....you can spend more for the same floor space, or you can spend less.

We didn't get the spread axle option, and this one only has a 48" door. But it is a 32 x 7.5 x 8.5, same as ours.

College Football me, Been to Clemson 3 times this year, awesome atmosphere for college football, plus I have a son down there sooooo two birds, one stone............ If your like me and like to people watch go early and walk the tailgaters areas, you'll meet all kinds.

The off season is a welcomed time for me. I’ve got plenty to do to keep myself busy. I’m a huge fan of a bunch of sports.

Certainly against the popular vote I’d imagine but I’d like to see the NASCAR schedule shortened. I know it’ll never happen but one race at each of the venues they currently race at is fine by me. They’d probably be able to do that and even add some events at tracks they don’t currently race at and still have a nice, long season. Start in February and have the finish coincide with the opening season of the NFL is a schedule I’d like to see.

Lets see. Winning race car, won big race a few weeks ago, bargain price, and the guy complains that the paint isnt to his satisfactory condition, and backs out on the spot. Gives us 100 for fuel, our fuel bill is 210 round trip. Says thanks for wasting his time.

Some priorities.

Sorry to hear that, MH.

Since I haven't watched a race since the chase started, not much change for me. I am, however, working on pictures from last night at Southern National Motorsports Park. Jeff Burton was there. Not racing, but watching his 13 year old son Harrison (who looks more like 10) race in the PASS super late model race.
