Fleeing teen's pants fall, allowing perpetrators to catch up, 'stomp' him

A 13-year-old Madison youth trying to run away from three other teens was tripped up by his own pants, setting the stage for a "stomping" by the chasers.
The battery happened Saturday night about 11:30 p.m. on Prairie Road on the city's southwest side.
The victim suffered facial cuts, bruises and a sore jaw.
Madison police said the 13-year-old and some friends were at a house party on Westbrook Lane and were walking home, when they were confronted by other teens were also had been at the party.
"The victim was punched and his friends ran, but when he tried to flee, his pants slid down and he stumbled," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain.
The three assailants punched and stomped on him, stopping their assault and fleeing when they spotted a police car.
