Not sure if this is making national news, ive not see a Fox News, CNN, MSNBC truck going down I-24, but please keep my area in your thoughts and prayers. The Ohio and Mississippi Rivers are at recored leavles and it keeps raining. They blew a levee to keep Cario, IL from flooding so hopefuly it will take some of the water around here and put it in the farm fileds. Many folks have already lost their homes and everything they can own. But yet i have not seen any support from outside. My home is on high ground, But right now i am in paducah for work and am 8 blocks from the river and it keeps on rising. Hoping for some sun and warm weather to dry us out.

Im not sure but i think the water has creasted today, but we are expecting some more rain over the weekend. Many people have lost their homes this is the worst thing i have seen happan in my area. Just sad

Us Texas folks are sending you all our prayers.
NWS says our total drought land, is larger than the entire state of washington.

Send us some rain! We'll gladly take it!

Texas is the epicenter of the worst drought conditions with nearly 26 percent of the state in the highest "exceptional" category. Our Radio Broadcast Meteorologist Nick Wiltgen has calculated that this occupies 67,962 square miles, or a larger land area than the entire state of Washington! For more perspective, Nick says this would encompass the land areas of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware combined!

The combined extreme and exceptional drought areas in the Lone Star State are larger than the entire state of California by more than 30,000 square miles.
