 Move over Ohio State, Oklahoma is now the Rodney Dangerfield of major college football.

The one thing that I will say is that OU's lousy defense did pretty well until the last quarter, but they did that in Texas too. Now will Sam Bradford turn pro or come back for another shot at the title?

Still love my Sooners

tough call but i'd go pro. it's hard to imagine him having a better year. it's not so hard though to imagine him being overshadowed or injured if he comes back. his pro value is top $$$ now. take the money and run.

I'm a huge Gator fan but I kinda feel bad for Bradford falling into that same groove with all those previous Heisman trophy winners who went on to lose their National Championship games. If he indeed decides to go pro, learn from the lesson of those previous Heisman winners who didn't fare so well in the pro's...

There's a lot to think about moving up and one of the things is who might draft him. I'm sure he'd love to go to a "southern" team because he is from Oklahoma and that is where his family is, but when you look at who will have the first five picks, and Sam is said to either be the first pick, or at least in the top five, and other than Kansas City, he'd likely go far from home. DETROIT? The last Oklahoma Heisman Trophy winner from Oklahoma who went there was Billy Simms. Not sure Sam would want to go there and there is that Georgia QB who could go before him.

What to do, what to do?

That was a good game, but I personally would have voted for Utah who went 13-0 for first place. It's not their fault that they were not allowed to play for the title. They just whooped on Alabama, who was the #1 team for quite a while, in their bowl game. They are the only team in Division 1 to go undefeated and they beat 6 bowl teams this year.

Could Utah have beaten Florida head to head? We will never know. Could Florida have beaten Texas (who should have been there instead of Oklahoma) in that bowl? We will never know. The BCS is a rediculous joke. Until there is a playoff, calling anyone the national champion is an assumption.

And as for Bradford, I think he should go pro now while his stock is at it's highest. No matter when he comes out, he will be a high pick and therefore will likely go to a pretty bad team.

Good questions, but 1) Utah was out of the picture before the season started. Not their fault, but if they want to be in the BCS, they have to change their conference or lobby to have their conference included. That just might happen or at least a waiver or two. 2), As to Texas being in the championship bowl, again, that was setteled before the season as to the tie breakers. Everyone, in their argument about Texas going instead always seem to forget Texas Tech who beat them. Again, the rules for tie breakers in the Big 12 were set before the season started. And the argument that UT beat OU on a neural field is one thing, but if you change tie breaker rules for that one purpose, you are making a change that affects only one game in the Big 12, so the whole controversy could still happen if it included a team other than OU or UT. 3) As to a playoff, until the BCS, this argument seemed to happen every year so they pitted the top two teams in the rankings against each other, more or less using the season as a mini playoffs. Because there are so many colleges that play division one football, the rules for a play off would mean that many conference champions could not be included and what would happen to those conferences such as the Big 12, SEC and Pac10 who have multiple great teams? If you think there was controversy this year, think what it would be like using conference champions, even if every conference had it's own championship game. But if that wasn't the rule, using conference champions, then you would have to use the polls again, and therein lies the biggest problem. Just as we have here today, a team has to be voted as to whether they are the champs and not decided on the field. I could go on forever on this, but I think you get my drift. No matter what you do, there will always be a controversy as to who is #1.

I wish only the best for this young man. Most people only know of his football prowess, but he is an excelent student, model citizen and athlete. The state of Oklahoma can be very proud of this homestate young man.

1 site has the QBs ranked as Stafford, Bradford, Tebow, McCoy and Sanchez.
A projection has Stafford #1 to Detroit and Bradford #3 to KC as the only QBs taken in the 1st round.
This could be an interesting draft.
Me, I'm not sold on Tebow as an NFL QB.

Hey! Since when do we agree on anything? I would draft him farther down as a backup qb/receiver/special teams player. Mix it up with him. See where he best fits in. He's a great athlete.

I heard today on ESPN Radio that Tebow really impressed some pro scouts and that he could possibly make it as a pro quarterback. I just don't know...as a college QB, he fits like a glove, but when we think of pros that were a threat like him, they come and go quickly. Randall Cunningham was a lot like Tebow. KC could be a good fit with Bradford.
