Don't miss Food City 500 pre-race ceremonies
As you know, here at Bristol Motor Speedway we like to involve our fans in pre-race ceremonies. The 2008 edition of Food City 500 pre-race is no different. In addition to driver intros and special presentations, we'll have a special tribute for Dale Jarrett, who is making his last career points race start in the Food City 500 (of course, we'll need your help).
We'll also honor our troops with a giant "thank you." The idea of making this part of pre-race was introduced by some folks from the BMS message board who made us aware of The Gratitude Campaign. The Gratitude Campaign is the brain child of Seattle native Scott Truitt, who came up with a great way all of us can say "thank you" to the men and women serving our country.
Country music recording artist Danielle Peck will sing the National Anthem and the flyover will thunder across the Speedway courtesy of F-18s from the United States Marine Corps VMFA-224 Squadron from Beaufort, SC.
