Everyone's favorite marsupial (me) is scheduled for surgery Friday. Should be no big deal, but with the way my luck has been going, ya just never know.

Won't be around much this week, maybe not at all over the weekend. Y'all gonna hafta face the final Southern 500 without me it looks like. I raise a toast in the honor and memory of The Lady In Black and her final display of her ultimate splendor. Damn crying shame they had to steal...nevermind. Life goes on.

Y'all send a kind thought my way Friday...I'd appreciate it.

Sam, Sam, Sam...The Lady In Black is Darlington Motor Speedway.

It's pancreatic surgery to rule out a pancreatic tumor. There is a minute possibility of that, also a minute possibility that a cyst that is there could be punctured. Under the worst of circumstances, that could kill me.

Otherwise, no worries at all... :eek:

You know prayers are coming from casa de Ferg. Hope you get back to hanging upside down in your tree soon.....

I thought so ! been wonderin for a while, your posts sounded to much like you know who not to be
we got 7 a. backin up the the national forrest in cosby, yeh, yeh i know will be a good drive to work but i have a driveway .7 of a mile and NO one living within 5 miles
looks like about a 45 min, drive. and once we sell the BIG house we will have ZERO debit, i'm going to retire in 5 years !!!!!!!!!
Good to talk to you again will be in my thoughts for your operation.

That is a gorgeous area. Sounds like my hermit's retreat for sure. Cosby ain't quite as rough as it used to be either. Even Newport's becoming respectable. Who'd a thunk it? Congrats on the cabin, I know you'll enjoy it.
 
your right, i have met some fine folks back in there, you know how mountian folks are. however there are still some places back in those mountians your really want to leave alone, if you know what i mean

Update:

Here's the fifty cent version. They did the surgery today. It wasn't as bad news as it could have been, but it wasn't all I wanted to hear either. I have to have at least one more, the next in about two weeks. Maybe then they'll be able to tell more about it.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. It really does help knowing somebody gives a damn.

Thanks for the update, EMP. I just wish it was the news that you were looking for right now. Hope the next one does the trick. Best of luck on that one, too. Please keep us up to date, we do care a great deal about our very own marsupial! :)
